Studied natural resources conservation at SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Buffalo.

Worked with wild and captive raptors since 1971.

Received numerous awards and two scholarships in conservation. 

A member of the NYS Outdoor Writers Association, the Raptor Research Foundation, the National Geographic Society, the North American Falconer's Association, Negative Population Growth, American Farmland Trust, among others. 

Work published in several magazines, three books,  newspapers, and a newsletter.
