Situated at the mouth of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, Fort Niagara State Park is part of the Niagara River Corridor Important Bird Area.  Park habitats include wooded and mowed lawns, woods, and a pebble beach.  This state park features a summer nature center, a nature trail through the woods, and 10,600 feet of shoreline.  Nature walks and programs are available through the Interpretive Office (716) 278-1728.
